Pray urgently for Manuel

We’ve received an update on Manuel’s condition from our colleagues in Guatemala. After a successful operation, three out of the four bullets have been recovered. One is still in his spinal column because it’s in too dangerous a position to remove.

Join us in giving thanks that, in general, Manuel’s condition has stabilised. Please pray for God to comfort Manuel and his family – the latest diagnosis from doctors suggests it is unlikely he will walk again.

Compassion Guatemala ask us to pray urgently for a little boy in a fragile condition. Tragically, Manuel was shot four times during an incident in his community. He’s now in hospital but his condition hasn’t stabilised. 

Please join us in praying for Manuel and his family. Pray for:

• Quick improvement in Manuel’s condition. Ask for doctors to be given wisdom and skill as they treat him.
• Manuel and his family to know God’s peace after the trauma of the incident.
• Compassion project workers to be given wisdom and sensitivity as they help the family by providing prayer support, counselling and assistance with medical bills.
