‘God is with us’: Compassion Christmas Celebrations

Our project staff and church partners are busy preparing for Christmas! Please lift up in prayer the Christmas celebrations that will be held across more than 8,600 communities where we work.

Although there is a global food crisis and many families have struggled with food insecurity, the true hope found in Christmas will not be stopped.

  • Please pray for staff as they prepare to purchase a gift for every child. Pray that children and families will be blessed with what they really need.
  • Pray for children as they receive Christmas cards from their sponsors. Pray for children to receive vital words of support and encouragement. Please pray they will hear the good news of Christmas and be inspired by the hope found in Christmas Bible verses.
  • We specifically ask for prayer as some projects begin to prepare their Christmas nativities. They hope many children and parents will come to know Christ this Christmas.

“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6
