Protection against gang culture in the Dominican Republic

Protection against gang culture in the Dominican Republic

A number of our projects in the Dominican Republic have asked us to pray for protection for the children in their care. Violence and gang culture is increasingly prevalent in many of their communities.

Pray for vulnerable children

  • Children are at risk of witnessing atrocities at a young age. Lift up those who are growing up in environments influenced by gang culture. Pray for God’s protection.
  • Many of the children we work alongside live in areas prolific for drug dealing. Again, pray for God to have His hand of protection on them and keep them safe from being used to deliver drugs.

Pray for at risk teenagers

  • Pray for the teenagers in the Compassion programme. Ask for God to keep them safe from gang influence. Pray for them to continue in their education and be able to bring change to their communities in the future.

Give thanks for lives changed

  • Praise God for the countless young men and women who have been saved from gang culture thanks to Compassion and the local church. Read stories of teenagers protected and saved from gangs and violence
