Compassion have a number of important policies that must be upheld to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people in our programme. These policies include attendance, behaviour and proximity to the local church amongst other things.
There are several guidelines which have been put in place to keep children safe and to ensure they are able to get the most out of the Compassion programme. When a young person or their family is unable to adhere to these, Compassion staff members meet with them to sensitively explain the importance of such policies. Unfortunately, despite these efforts and encouragement, the child you sponsor’s family have decided to withdraw from the programme.
We know it can be hard to learn that a child has left the Compassion programme due to an unwillingness or inability to comply with policies. Please be assured that the project team will have done all they can to resolve any difficulties without the child you sponsor being withdrawn from the programme. Children’s wellbeing is our highest priority.
We’ve shared the information we’ve received with you but please do feel free to contact our friendly team if you’d like to ask further questions or talk this through.
