The first Blood Sweat and Compassion participants have now returned from their adventure! Here’s what Joe Henegan who took part had to say about the trip...

"The challenge was an unforgettable experience for so many reasons. 12 Compassion UK sponsors went on a truly unique trip to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro alongside the eight Kenyan Leadership Development Students they were raising sponsorship money for. Most of the sponsors and LDP Students reached the summit of Kilimanjaro in five days, but every team member has come away with incredible memories, lifelong friendships and plenty of stories to tell the grandchildren. As well as climbing the iconic mountain, the sponsors were also given the precious opportunity to visit a Child Survival Programme, a Child Sponsorship Programme and take part in a home visit."
