Philanthropy Assistant

Use your passion for researching and writing and your eye for detail to help change the lives of children living in poverty.

We are looking to appoint a new Philanthropy Assistant to join our dedicated Philanthropy team. We need someone with excellent written communication skills preferably with experience in researching and drafting reports. You'll need to be creative, innovative and flexible, working to a high standard, achieving agreed deadlines. Office admin experience is essential (Microsoft packages).

The Philanthropy Assistant must have a deep sense of personal connection to Compassion’s ministry and alignment with our mission, values and faith.

Job Purpose: Work within the Philanthropy Team to write fundraising and activity reports for prospective and existing major donors, mid-level donors, businesses and churches.

Key Outcomes
1. Promote and Maintain CUK’s Christian Ethos and Values;
2. Philanthropy support for Non Child Sponsorship Programme Ministry;
3. Intervention proposals and reports produced as required.

This is a permanent office-based role working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00 – 17.00.
N.B. Office Relocation: The Compassion UK office is currently in Weybridge, Surrey. The office will relocate in May 2018 to Fleet, Hampshire.

The Philanthropy Assistant role has an occupational requirement for the post holder to have an active Christian faith. 

Generous benefits package includes: 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, 10% employer’s pension contribution and private medical and dental cover on completion of probationary period.
