God calls His Church to serve those living in poverty and here at Compassion, we’ve been helping churches across the globe to do just that for more than 70 years.
We work with churches in communities experiencing poverty. They have the local knowledge and incredible passion to see lives changed, but they often lack the financial support to make that happen.
This is where your church comes in.
We can help you inspire your congregation to step in and make a difference by sponsoring children living in poverty. The personal support of individuals in your church won’t simply provide children with essentials like healthcare, educational resources and food, it will ensure they have a chance to hear about the hope of Christ.
It’s so exciting to be part of God’s work and we’d love to enthuse your congregation about the way God can use each and every one of them to change lives in Jesus’ name.

How can your church get involved?
Our aim is to help you inspire your congregation and make a real and lasting difference in the lives of precious children, so we've developed a couple of partnership options for you to choose from.
Whichever option you go for, your church will be part of a global Compassion family bringing practical, social, emotional and spiritual support to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. Together we can transform lives for eternity.
GLOBAL FOCUS
Give your congregation a global perspective on poverty and encourage them to sponsor children across the world.
Country / Community Focus
Partner with our work in one of 25 developing countries and encourage your church to sponsor children in that country.
Both options will enable your congregation to:
- Sponsor individual children
- Support Compassion's Child Survival Programme
- Raise money for RESPOND Initiative
- Visit our work and overseas projects
*All trips are subject to availability in the field country and individual sponsors must have been supporting the children for a minimum of 12 months before a trip can take place.
Whichever you choose, your church will have the opportunity to be involved with proven, long-running and strategic development programmes that respect and affirm churches in the developing world.
