Decades of violence has taken an enormous human, social and economic toll on Colombia. More than six million children live in poverty and about three million suffer from some form of malnutrition. Many children will have difficulty rising above these circumstances because they lack educational opportunities. About four million children eligible for an education are not in school.
Compassion’s ministry in Colombia began in 1976. Today, Compassion is helping over 35,000 children through church-based projects.
