Here at Compassion we’re passionate about doing things with excellence, including the way we manage our finances. We work hard to ensure donations are used strategically, for the greatest benefit of children in poverty.

From our fundraising activities to our programme activities, we’re accountable for every penny we spend. Our field offices have both internal and external audits regularly and our own office here in the UK is audited externally each year. As a UK Charity and Limited Company, all our accounts are filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission.

The highlights of your impact include:

• £53.2 million was received in income during this financial year.

• In the UK, 100,712 children were supported by church-driven projects.

• In the UK, 10,051 children were supported by our community-based programmes.

• 63,662 food packages were distributed.

• 1,700,000 people were trained in child protection.

• 1,000 youth were trained in entrepreneurship skills.

• 11,500 youth participated in discipleship training.

Our Annual Report is a longer report designed to meet legal, regulatory, and governance requirements in a clear and matter-of-fact way. It provides transparency on our operations, finances, and compliance with the standards expected of UK charities.

How we spend your donations

Last year, 85% of donations went to supporting vulnerable children living in poverty. The remaining 15% is made up of fundraising activities.

Child, family and project gifts

100% of child, family and project gifts go to the Compassion-supported child or young person. Our local project staff and church leaders will help choose a gift that will really make a difference to those receiving it.
