One Month to Go Until Big Church Festival 2026

We're just one month away from Big Church Festival 2026 and the excitement is building.

Big Church Recruitment Hero

From 28–30 August 2026, thousands of Christians will gather at Wiston House to worship, celebrate all that God is doing through his Church and discover how together we're helping release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

Get ready to see the impact of our partnership

Last year, Jesus led and Big Church Festival-goers responded with extraordinary generosity. Together, you helped release 747 children from poverty, bringing hope and opportunity to children and their families across the Savannah region of Ghana.

Today, that impact is being experienced by communities through the love of their local church as children receive practical support, hear about Jesus and are encouraged to build brighter futures.

Big Church Festival isn't just a weekend event. It's an opportunity to join with God’s global Church to move with compassion and love our neighbour. Every prayer and act of generosity becomes part of a much bigger story of transformation.

Sharing Jesus’ heart for children

At Compassion, we follow Christ's lead and look beyond poverty to the God-given potential in every child. Jesus made time for children, welcomed them and honoured them. His heart for children continues to shape the work we do today.

That's why we're so excited for Big Church Festival. It's an opportunity to thank God for all he’s doing through his Church, to hear first-hand accounts of lives being transformed and be inspired afresh to respond to his call to love the most vulnerable.

From the main stage, we'll hear from our Big Church friends Gemma Hunt, DC3, LZ7 and Faith Child, who recently travelled to Ghana to see first-hand how much God has done thanks to your faithful generosity. Over in the Worship Tent, Joe Gisby, who also joined the trip, will be hosting and sharing stories from Ghana throughout the weekend.

Thank you to all our advocates

We’re so grateful and inspired by how many of you are willing to roll up your sleeves and volunteer for Compassion at Big Church Festival. Thank you to everyone who’s stepped forward to serve.

Florence Sena Amponsah is Senior Manager of Programme Support for Compassion Ghana. She says, “The journey with the BCF team has been amazing. I would say it’s God-sent in actual fact.

On behalf of the National Director, the entire team in Compassion Ghana together with all our Church Partners and the children, especially those in the Savannah region, we want to say thank you so, so much.

God bless you for the acts of kindness and love. The impact is amazing and we continue to record testimonies of God’s goodness every single day because of the work you are doing. So be encouraged and know that you’re making an impact and it’s being recorded in heaven. God bless you, all of you.”

You don’t have to wait until August to make a difference

You can move with compassion today by:

  • Sponsoring a child and helping them reach their full potential

  • Praying for children, families, and churches in Ghana

  • Giving to support new intervention projects in the Savannah Region to bring safe water into the heart of communities

This is what it means to move with compassion: saying ‘yes’ to Jesus’ invitation to bring practical help and the hope of Christ to those who need it most. Come and join us!
