Charity volunteering opportunities with Compassion
We have three key roles to move with compassion and make an even greater impact:
Advocate Speaker
You’ll have the opportunity to represent Compassion at churches and gatherings across the UK and Republic of Ireland. We’re looking for confident and experienced public speakers who can move others to respond and take action.
Use your voice to inspire people to take action and defend the rights of the poor and needy.
We’ll provide you with brilliant training on public speaking and sharing your Compassion message and story.
You’ll be invited to exclusive Advocacy events, meeting with your fellow Advocates and hearing from our Compassion graduates.
Please note, you need to sponsor a child with Compassion to be an Advocate Speaker.
Become a Church Champion
As a Compassion Church Champion, you’ll play a valuable role in connecting your local church community with Compassion’s work around the world – all in a way that suits your availability and church context.
You’ll help keep Compassion’s ministry in focus and visible by sharing updates, stories, prayer points and news. You’ll also run engaging events such as letter-writing workshops for supporters.
You’ll be invited to exclusive Advocacy events, meeting with your fellow Advocates and hearing from our Compassion graduates.

Event Advocate
Be part of exciting and buzzing café teams or share your passion on the Compassion stand and help set up that next child being sponsored. You’ll get free entry and everything you need to look the part to represent Compassion.
Enjoy some of the country’s best Christian events whilst also bringing hope to children in extreme need.
Experience world-class conferences and events for free! Have loads of fun and make lasting friendships.
You’ll be invited to exclusive Advocacy events, meeting with your fellow Advocates and hearing from our Compassion graduates.

Today, more than 500 people are serving in church and event settings to advocate on behalf of children living in extreme poverty. Each of these advocates are being developed and discipled in the skills and calling that has been placed on their lives. Say yes to becoming a Compassion advocate, and you too can join this movement of those using their skills, calling and passions to make a difference.
