Pray for the Dominican Republic following Hurricane Matthew

Pray for the Dominican Republic following Hurricane Matthew

Heavy rains from Hurricane Matthew have caused flooding in the southern, northwestern and Santo Domingo regions of the Dominican Republic.

Please pray for the Dominican Republic as it recovers from the flooding. Lift up vulnerable children and families in the country as the effects of Hurricane Matthew linger.

Several of the children we work alongside have been temporarily relocated to shelters. Our Dominican Republic office is in regular contact with our church partners providing emergency supplies and support to those affected.

So far, we’ve had one report of a Compassion-assisted child whose house has been destroyed.

Please pray for Yanet’s family as they recover from the disaster. Pray for every child in the Dominican Republic who has lost their home.
