In Dominican Republic
Ecuador has a proud recorded history extending back to the Incan empire. Yet children in Ecuador are at risk from violence. Parents experience unemployment, making it hard for them to provide food, safety and education. Many internally displaced and migrant children lack access to education and healthcare, and those travelling alone or who've become separated from their families are even more vulnerable. But at the Compassion project, there is hope.

Providing support in Ecuador
Cristofer from Ecuador dreams of being a mechanical engineer and trains with his father after school. However, after sustaining a head injury, Cristofer spent several days in the hospital. His family wouldn't have been able to afford the medical bills without the help of Cristofer's local church, which partners with Compassion. Cristofer has now recovered and is pursuing his dream. "If I am alive, it is because of Jesus. He has a plan for my life...I want to create machinery and be able to give work to many people," he says.
