Warehouse Worship: The Compassion Ambassadors Taking the Gospel Industry by Storm
Founder of Warehouse Worship, Victor Omosebi, shares his heart for justice and worship, and how this led to a partnership with Compassion UK.

Who are Warehouse Worship?
Warehouse Worship are a gospel music sensation. Founded in Manchester in 2022, they’ve quickly established themselves as one of the hottest things in the contemporary Christian music scene – all by putting Jesus front and centre.
What began as live worship for a few hundred in a literal warehouse has grown into powerful, transformative worship experiences for tens of thousands. Their worship nights combine beautiful, truthful gospel songs with electric performances and a deep commitment to their faith. And at the heart of their mission is one aim: to help people connect to God.
Now, they’re teaming up with Compassion UK to take that mission even further. Here, we sit down for a chat with Warehouse Worship Manchester founder Victor Omosebi to discuss all things faith, vision and worship.
An interview with Warehouse Worship founder Victor Omosebi

Victor, could you share when Warehouse Worship started and how it began?
We began about three years ago, in April 2022. That was the first event we did, and there were around 250 people. But before that exact day I had a vision while on a prayer walk: I had an encounter with the presence of God, and God was telling me that there's a real awakening that needs to happen.
So I said, you know what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna start with some Christian music in a warehouse where we can all just come and worship. And I remember God gave me specific instructions not to make it about ourselves – you just make it about Him. The flyer gave nothing more than the date, time and place - there was no sales pitch.
It's been so exciting hearing about the growing movement of the worship nights, could you tell us more?
Before you know it, in 2023 we did another Encounter Night tour and we had 2,000 people at Warehouse Worship London, and then another 4,000 people on the waiting list. We were just like, wow, this is our second year, how do we have that many people? And so I just knew that God was calling us to something greater, and I kept on going on my prayer walks, just asking God for more wisdom, more direction to make sure we are obedient to what he says.
What is your vision for Warehouse Worship? Why are you so passionate about justice?
The relationship between justice and worship is very significant. Worship is not just about singing. Worship is our heart's posture to God.
There's a passage in the Bible, Micah six, that talks about how God desires our worship over rituals and burnt offerings and sacrifices. Micah talks about how God requires us to act justly, walk humbly, and love mercy, and for us to do that requires us to open our hearts and our eyes to the injustice around the world.
And once your eyes are open, your hearts will want to do something about it. You'll want to give. You'll want to act.
Why did Warehouse Worship choose to partner with Compassion and use this incredible worship movement to make a difference to children living in extreme poverty?
I am so happy about our partnership. Because I’d been praying and asking God, how do we as Warehouse Worship extend our arms to other countries? And I believe that working with Compassion will be that avenue of outstretched arms.
When I hear the story of so many people who have come through the Compassion programme, it inspires me. It tells me that there is hope; even where I'm not able to personally help, there’s an international charity eradicating poverty in the name of Jesus.
So I'm so excited. Our relationship has grown and we have seen more than 500 children sponsored through Warehouse Worship. When you come to a Warehouse Worship event and you sponsor a child, you're making a generational impact to end poverty in different countries.
Our community of worshippers is dedicated to living out our faith through action. Seeing the impact of our contributions on these children's lives is profoundly humbling and motivating.
You're soon travelling to Uganda to understand more about how local churches near Kampala are moving with Compassion to support children in poverty. How excited are you about that trip?
I'm excited about what I will be when I come back – what my mindset will be. I know it's going to be life-changing. But now I'm excited to see if it births a different fire, you know what I mean? It could be a fire for justice. It could be a fire for even deeper worship.
While we’re there, we’ll be working towards a spoken word we want to do for The Gathering event. We were talking about possibly writing it whilst we're there.
