Supporter Relations Assistant – Response Team (Fixed Term)
We are currently recruiting for a Supporter Relations Assistant in our dedicated Response Team. This is a fixed term contract to end June 2018.
This role falls within the Supporter Relations Department which delivers the main Christian message of Compassion and acts as a bridge between supporters and beneficiaries.
The Supporter Relations Assistant position would suit an individual with a desire to help remove injustice and poverty and see children achieve their God given potential. The role calls for excellent communications skills across all media with special emphasis on a friendly but professional telephone manner, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to listen effectively and actively to both supporters and colleagues. A knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, telephone systems, Internet and Intranet. Customer service experience including telephone based work are essential skills for this role.
The purpose of the Supporter Relations Assistant Response role is to:
- Build strong and effective relationships with Compassionâ€™s Supporters ensuring excellent customer service and exceeding expectations wherever possible;
- Play an integral role in retaining and growing the engagement of individuals, enabling them to fully understand the significance of sponsorship and the impact of their donations;
- Provide effective communication and administration.
There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to have a personal commitment to the Christian faith.
This is a fixed term opportunity to end June 2018, office-based post working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday and may include with some Saturday work from home on rota. N.B. The office is currently based in Weybridge, Surrey. An office relocation to Fleet, Hampshire is scheduled for June 2018.
