Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist works within the Marketing Team. This team contributes to Compassion UKâ€™s strategic and operating success by managing Compassion UKâ€™s brand in the marketplace.Â
We are looking for a passionate Christian social media professional, able to produce creative, effective and inspiring content to encourage engagement and spread the message of Compassionâ€™s ministry to children in poverty. Youâ€™ll need to have at least one yearâ€™s social media experience in a business environment with a solid understanding of social media communications and metric, the ability to use multimedia creation software, written communications experience and a high level of computer literacy. Video editing and previous experience with monitoring systems such as Hootsuite are desirable skills for this role. The Social Media Specialist will also be required to actively promote, maintain and articulate the Compassion UKâ€™s Christian ethos and values.
Job Purpose: To develop and manage CUKâ€™s social media channel, promoting a correct and positive reflection of the name and brand of Compassion.
1. Promote and maintain CUKâ€™s Christian Ethos and Values;
2. Management and development of CUKâ€™s social media channels;
3. Content creation including blogs, social media collateral and videos;
4. Provide general communication support.
There is an occupational requirement for the Social Media Specialist to have an active personal commitment to the Christian faith.
This is a permanent post office based role working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. N.B. Office Relocation: The office is currently in Weybridge, Surrey an office relocation is planned to Fleet, Hampshire in June 2018.
