How are my donations spent?

How are my donations spent?

The principle of stewardship is more than a priority for us. It’s a deeply held value. Here at Compassion, we’re passionate about doing things with excellence, including the way we manage our finances. We work hard to ensure donations are used strategically for the greatest benefit of children in poverty.

As a sponsor, we want you to feel confident in how your giving impacts children in poverty.

We commit that at least 80% of sponsorship donations are spent on charitable activities. The remaining money finds more sponsors and to raises funds for life-changing interventions.

From fundraising to programme activities, we’re accountable for every penny we spend. Our field offices have internal and external audits regularly, and our office here in the UK is audited externally each year.

As a UK Charity and Limited Company, all our accounts are filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission. You can find our registered charity and company details at the bottom of every page on our website.
