Compassion UK is looking to take their recruitment processes to the next level with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role you will be designing and implement strategies and processes to enable the right person to be in the right place at the right time to meet Compassion UK’s outcomes, this will include supporting and guiding line managers with campaigns to growing candidate pools and developing the employee brand.

Location:
Office-based role at Compassion House, Fleet, Hampshire.
Hybrid working is offered as a benefit with a minimum of 40% of hours in the office. A higher proportion of remote working hours may be considered based on a number of criteria, including a difficult or excessive commute

Hours:
35 hours per week, flexible working but usually Monday to Friday 9:00 -17:00

Salary:
£29,400 pa (within the grade £29,400 - £35,500 pa)

About the role

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will work collaboratively to support the acquisition of people with the skills and attributes needed to uphold Compassion UK’s Christian ethos and culture; and accomplish its mission to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

Responsibilities

  • Actively maintain and promote Compassion UK’s Christian ethos and values.
  • Design and implement strategies and processes to enable the right people to be in the right place at the right time to meet Compassion UK’s required and desired outcomes.
  • Run recruiting campaigns, supporting and guiding line managers along the journey.
  • Provide a positive candidate journey.
  • Build, grow and engage candidate pool and applicant sources.
  • Effective reporting on recruitment.

About you

To flourish in this role, you’ll need:

  • Internal recruiter experience. You need proven experience in full-cycle resourcing as an in-house, hands-on recruitment specialist, managing end to end recruitment campaigns at various levels of complexity (from entry to senior level), including reporting and analytics.
  • Sourcing candidates experience.  You need demonstrable experience in using a variety of tools/channels to source candidates, e.g. job boards, adverts, networking, social media, etc.
  • Knowledge of current UK recruitment legislation. You will have a sound understanding of recruitment law. You need to keep abreast of changing laws, with a strong desire to continuously learn, develop, improve as a recruitment specialist.
  • Interviewing skills.  You need to be a skilled interviewer with experience in delivering competency-based interviews.
  • Excellent communication skills. You will need to be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt your style based on the audience.
  • Digital fluency. Experience in core Microsoft Office applications, with a preference for experience in Applicant Tracking System and LinkedIn Recruiter.

It would help (but isn't essential to have):

  • Experience building and implementing innovative overarching recruitment strategies.
  • A recognised recruitment industry or human resources related qualification (for example, CIPD, IRP).
  • Experience building employee branding.
  • Recruitment marketing experience.

This is an office-based role in our modern, ‘agile’ office with free parking, just a 15-minute walk from Fleet station.
