Compassion UK is recruiting for a Regional Partnerships Manager (South) to establish, build, maintain and grow key relationships with existing and potential Church Partners. Ideally, the successful candidate would live on the M3 corridor.

Location:
This is a Home-based (S.E. England)- Extensive travel within region with some UK and international travel as required. *Ideally, the successful candidate would live on the M3 corridor

Hours:
35 hours per week over a flexible working pattern with some Sunday working

£35,500 pa (pro rata within the grade £35,500 to £41,200 pa)

About the role

As a Relationship Manager, you’ll work within the Partnerships Department to establish, build, maintain and grow relationships with existing and potential Church Partners to manage and lead church services in order to maximise the opportunities from these partnerships and to achieve regional acquisition objectives. You may also work in collaboration with volunteers and the philanthropy team to maximise impact. Ideally, the successful candidate would be based on the M3 corridor.

Responsibilities

  • Actively maintain and promote Compassion UK’s Christian ethos and values
  • Maximise the number of child sponsorships from churches and regional events
  • Work collaboratively across Compassion UK to effectively meet objectives

About you

To flourish in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong networking experience - a proven track record and the ability to network within a church and events environment.
  • Sales experience with a proven track record of managing a sales process from beginning to end, generating opportunities, managing a portfolio of relationships, closing sales skills and achieving sales targets.
  • Be a self starter - able to manage your time well and build new relationships.
  • An understanding of the aspirations of church leaders and the challenges they face in their ministries.
  • To be a confident and effective public speaker with experience of preaching within Churches.
  • Core office/administrative skills. You must be fluent in English and competent in written and numerical work, with experience of basic office systems such as Microsoft Office.

It would help (but isn’t essential) to have:

  • A track record of excellent persuasive skills
  • To have used a CRM or similar system
  • Experience managing / supporting

We need you to be:

  • Personally committed to the Christian faith. There’s an occupational requirement for the holder of this role to be a practising Christian, in order to promote Compassion’s ethos and help others to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of our work.   • Deeply connected to Compassion’s ministry to children.
  • Aligned to Compassion UK’s cultural attributes. 
  • Willing and able to undertake periodic overseas travel.
  • Good time management skills

  • Able to perform to a high standard,
  • Be creative, innovative and flexible.

Location & Benefits
