Letter Form

To send a letter online, simply fill in your details and those of your child and type your letter. We will print a copy and send it to your child. It will mean so much to your child to hear your words of encouragement.

If you would like to send photographs or small paper items you can do so by post. Don’t forget to write your reference number and the reference number of your child on the back of each item.

When you write please keep the following in mind:

• You need to have sent Compassion your first months sponsorship or returned a Direct Debit form in order to write to your child online.
• Try and write about things your child will understand, for example, your family, your hobbies, what your church is like, where you live, the climate and customs of your country, any pets, and simple prayer requests. Try to be sensitive and not talk about material aspects of your life.
• Write words to encourage your child and let him or her know you are praying for them.
• Letters take 2-4 months to arrive because all correspondence needs to be translated and hand delivered.
