Compassion Child Sponsorship Programmes are safe-havens where children are loved, valued and have the opportunity to fulfil their God-given potential. Through church based programmes children between four and 18 years of age participate in a range of activities that help to break down the barriers that keep them enslaved in poverty.

Compassion and the church ensure that children receive education, healthcare, a balanced nutritional diet, social support and an opportunity to hear the gospel.

Each child is linked to an individual sponsor who can encourage the child they support through writing letters and prayer. Words of love and kindness from their sponsor really do help these children to see just how precious they are.

As a church you can get involved in the life of the children by collectively praying for their needs and writing letters to encourage them. We can even arrange a mission trip for you to see the impact of your sponsorship.

Your financial support will ensure that all children are able to develop in the following areas.

• Spiritually as Christian staff demonstrate God’s love to the children through regular non-pressurised Bible studies and Christian teaching
• Socially and emotionally in activities that help them to interact with others and make good choices in their relationships and behaviour.
• Economically as they learn skills in a number of educational areas.
• Physically through medical checkups and education on diet, health and hygiene.

All Compassion’s programmes are run through local churches who know the needs of the children they are ministering to. Your support will help a local church to become a shining light in their community.
