Cyclone in India
9 January 2012

A cyclone hit the coastal area of Tamilnadu on December 31, causing damage to many homes, trees and electricity lines. Although no-one was harmed, the homes of 70 children from Puduvai Child Development Centre and 21 from Wesley Child Development Centre were damaged.
The Puduvai project facility also took some damage, with roofing torn off and computers, files and office equipment rendered unusable.
Staff at both of the projects have provided basic necessities, clothing and bedding materials for the affected families.
Please pray for the families whose homes have been damaged by the cyclone and for the children and project staff of Puduvai, whose facility and equipment have been disrupted.
Compassion India will keep us updated as more information is available.
