The Cauca River overflowed into the community of Sieta de Agosto on 13 December. The flood waters washed away personal belongings, devastated houses and increased the incidences of waterborne illnesses.
The homes of twenty-five children from CDI Vida Plena sustained damaged, with families losing personal possessions, clothing and school items. Families were relocated to temporary accommodation where their needs were kindly met by church members, with non-perishable food, clothing and cleaning products among the inventory.
