Finance Manager

This position would suit an individual with full accountancy qualifications or partially qualified with demonstrable practical experience of working to such a financial level in a management role. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics GP (or similar accounting package), journal preparation and account reconciliation is essential for this role. The individual must be able to think analytically, work logically and appropriately apply judgement.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary - as is the ability to organise and monitor workflow and work to agreed deadlines.

There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to have a personal commitment to the Christian faith.

The purpose of this role is to undertake management responsibilities for the finances of the charity in line with UK Charity Law, SORP and best accounting practice and to assist in the provision and development of the financial information and systems.

The main functions include:

  • To run month end procedures, including remission of grants and reconciliation of bank statements
  • To assist in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports
  • To assist in the processing of purchases and payments
  • To assist in payment and recording of payroll and benefits (including annual returns)

This is a permanent full-time post, working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00. Please note that we cannot consider applicants who do not presently have permission to work in the UK.
