Sponsor Relations Assistant

This position would suit a customer focussed individual with highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in partnership with others. The ideal candidate will have a professional telephone manner and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Telephone based customer service experience is essential and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications would be an advantage.

Playing an integral part in retaining the support and growing engagement of individual sponsors and supporters the purpose of this role is to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with Compassion’s supporters, enabling them to fully understand the significance of their sponsorship. Working within a team, the main functions include:

  • Responding to inbound telephone/email enquiries from supporters
  • Making outbound calls as part of proactive processes
  • Daily communication across all media
  • Administration / data entry

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to have an active personal commitment to the Christian faith, as functions within this role will be promoting Compassion’s Christian ethos and enabling people to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of Compassion’s work.

This is a permanent and full time position, working 32 hours per week on flexible working schedules - some evening work will be required.
