Samuel Leeds

Hi I'm Samuel, Samuel Leeds. I am 20 years old and am a full-time Bible student at Birmingham New College.
I have been sponsoring a child for the last two years and am very passionate about Compassion UK.
I am so excited about this challenge and being part in joining this great cause.
Date of Trip: March 2012
Kilimanjaro is a very tall mountain and I will be climbing to the top in order to raise money for this amazing cause. for
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world (5,895m) and I will be climbing right to the top over the course of just six days!
Before I fly to the Kilimanjaro Airport I will go to Nairobi to meet the young people that I am raising money for.
Compassions Leadership Development Programme (LDP), enables these talented young people in developing nations to receive a university education. Recent graduates of this programme have gone on to become doctors, teachers, agriculturalists, pastors and Members of Parliament. More importantly, they have all become powerful agents of change, helping to break the crippling cycle of poverty that is so dominant in our world today.
Fundraising Target: £2000
I will be paying for all my expenses to enable every pound donated to go towards the students.
I have not got long to raise the money so please act now and be part of changing theses precious lives. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this page and thank you so much for your help. You have no idea how much difference you will be making so THANK YOU!
The simple fact is that these young people have all the ability to make real change but, as a result of being born into poverty, they do not have the opportunity to do so.
Whilst trekking Kilimanjaro with the potential affect of altitude being a terrifying prospect, being able to contribute to the future of these young people and the community around them makes the challenge very much more than worthwhile.
