East Africa Drought Appeal
East Africa is experiencing its worst drought in 60 years – a combination of high food prices and failed crops has left millions of people at risk.
Compassion’s child development programmes operate in Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda, all of which are experiencing food shortages as a result of drought conditions this year.
We want to reassure our sponsors that you will be contacted if your children or their communities are affected. In the meantime, please continue to write and pray for your children – you are making a huge difference to their lives.
Compassion is committed to ensuring that all Compassion children and their caregivers are receiving the help they require. Compassion staff in these countries are monitoring the situation closely and supporting children and families as the crisis intensifies.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

- Please pray for the people of East Africa at this time, for those displaced and in desperate need.
Thank you for your support and prayers for the people of East Africa.
As we don’t yet know how much this appeal will raise, any donations that exceed the needs of the Compassion East African response will be used for further disaster situations.
